The long awaited public dialog between Whole Foods CEO John Mackey and whole foods advocate Michael Pollan (author of “The Botany of Desire: A Plant’s-Eye View of the World” and “The Omnivore’s Dilemma: A Natural History of Four Meals”), scheduled for Tuesday Feb 27 at UC Berkeley’s Zellerbach Hall, is sold out. The live webcast isn’t, though.
This should be timely as well as interesting, given Whole Foods’ recent acquisition of leading rival Wild Oats. Timely for me too, since I’m just writing an article on opportunities and challenges facing the natural foods industry (which I’ll post here as soon as it’s done.
