Today’s a good day to read the Declaration of Independence. Aloud. Ol’ Tom Jefferson’s hand can still raise goosebumps, 230 years later.
(The 4th of July isn’t just about hotdogs and fireworks. And the Declaration of Independence is not just for USA-ans. You don’t have to be a USA-an to appreciate ‘inalienable rights’ to ‘life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.’ But – listen up, Washington! – you do have to appreciate ‘inalienable rights’ to ‘life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness’ – for all – to be a true USA-an.)
End soapbox. Party on!
